Mochi Dog

We adopted Mochi in 2018 after we adopted Skittles. Skittles was a few months old when we saw this blue heeler pop up on our adoption search. Well one of us already decided she was coming home with us before we ever even met her. The feelings were mutual. Mochi chose her human.

As a 9-month old blue heeler, Mochi was underweight and reactive in every situation. She made her first and last friend the day she met Skittles. She was not socialized. She lived most of her short live either in a cage or in a kennel. She was a dingo.

We gave her a stable environment, started walking her for hours each day. Mochi was slowly coming around day by day.

Fast forward to 2020 when we decided to leave San Juan Capistrano, the girls had their first adventure. We took Mochi and Skittles with us driving across California, Oregon and Washington to look for our new home. The girls saw snow for the first time in Idaho.

The girls had their second adventure when we moved from Southern California to a rural small town in Washington. We build a farm from a field. Mochi was there for all of it. She is going to be 9 years old. She is and forever will be part of this farm.

Now if you ask if she is outside herding animals? Well she prefers being inside on her bed. She also enjoy her afternoon nap and barking at the mail man. But she is happy and we love her just the way she is.

We took a dog off the kill list and gave her a forever home. She is the most important thing in the world to us.
