Starting from scratch-the beginning

In 2020, we drove all over Washington, Oregon and Idaho to find a place we can call home.

We found and bought an open space sight unseen. It was a crazy idea and a risky move but we did. It was during the pandemic, we couldn't just drive around to actually look at a place. We looked at the general area. We drove through different town. So we looked online. We found this piece of land. Drew did tons of research on the property. We knew we can have electricity and water. We did a PERT test for the soil to make sure we can grow food and build our dream home. We took a chance.

Our place is buildable but it has wetlands so we needed to have a wetland consultant. We also needed permits to build our home, sewer system, our road and get an address.

We were living in our Airstream waiting for our manufactured home delivery. It got pushed out to January and we didn’t know for sure when we’ll have it. It was not what we were hoping for but at least we had shelter. Additionally, we had each other and the girls: Mochi and Skittles. We hoped for the best and that everything will work out.
